He has established an indelible historical merit for China to enter a new era of reform and opening up and to create socialism with Chinese characteristics. On the ideological side，During the period of rectifying the chaos, he made great efforts to established the ideological line of seeking truth from facts，break the superstition of “two whatevers”. On the political side， he inherited and developed the experiences that has been summed, formed the basic line of the Party in the primary stage of socialism and then drew up a grand blueprint for socialist modernization. on the economic side, Deng Xiaoping established the goal of socialist market economy reform.
